He reported the conversation to Instagram. Be prepared to have your account disabled & blocked and yourself banned from Instagram for infinity.

Calm down l. I was just curious how our conversation has disappeared. I didn’t know that it’s possible. I don’t stalk him. I’m the one that removed him from my Instagram.
He reported the conversation to Instagram - and that is WHY your conversation is no longer there. Moderators / superviors / whoever investigates has blanked out the conversation so you can't possibly delete it while they're looking into it.
Why would he do that months after the breakup?
I guess he deleted his account. You do know people can see when you have viewed their stuff , right?
He hasn’t deleted his account because I can see his profile. We just aren’t following each other anymore. Even if he deleted his account the texts wouldn’t have disappeared l.
Then maybe you can delete the chat itself. Either way, why would it matter to you? It should be in the past now.
