Why do men after or during a divorce date women that look like their ex wife?

I been noticing that some of my male friends date or go after women that look just like their ex wife. They complain about them but run after the same type. Some of these women have been married two to three times !!! Why do men do this?

This makes sense cause I’m single but if I liked a guy and did not date him, I would like guys resembling some traits of the old guy later. Like in 2016 I got rejected by a guy that was Asian and in 2017 I liked an Asian guy and that was the first time in around 10 or more years where I liked an Asian guy cause my preference before that was different. In 2019 I lost touch with an South Asian guy and in 2020 I liked an Pakistani guy from work. He looked Pakistani but he might have been Arabic or middle eastern too. He would not tell me what country he was from because he liked me and he was worried I would reject him if he picked the wrong country when I asked him his race

Did the divorce have anything to do with the way she looked? They complain about how she acted, not how she looked.

Some of these women have been married two to three times? And how is that relevant? Did that have anything to do with the way they looked?
