For men who are in love with their girlfriends or wives, what does it mean to you when you like another girl's pictures on Instagram? Does your girlfriend or wife get upset about it? I’d love to hear different male perspectives on this.
i think its normal to want to still feel alive in that way. oftentimes, when someone else owns your sexuality in the sense that you wouldn't even consider cheating, you start taking each other for granted. sex is no longer exciting. you let yourself go. you don't dress to impress. you don't "play" anymore like you did when you were kids, like finger banging in the movie theater., etc. your thoughts revolve around money and parenting and all sorts of other things that two platonic friends could still easily manage.
basically, almost all marriages eventually turn sexually boring, and it's almost always the woman's fault. we all complain that men stop pursuing, but we stop being the prey. we stop being the object of desire. we dress for comfort. wear makeup for everyone else BUT our husbands. don't work out. eat like pigs. and then blame him for why we aren't in the mood. then... shocking... he's looking at other women.
the rabbit's job is to run from the fox. if the rabbit stops running, he will die. he might die anyway, but when he stops running, it is guaranteed. the woman's job is to bait the man. we all know that. it's why instagram and onlyfans exist.
when the man is looking at other women's pictures, it's the metaphorical equivalent of the fox sniffing the air.

There are pretty pretty pics they used during their private time in the bathroom otherwise they’d be bugging you nonstop. You should send those girls thank you cards…..
If they’re deep into IMing some chippy about her hot vids and commenting on how great her T&A are, then THAT’S a different problem and you need to shut it down immediately. It’s disrespectful.04 Reply- 1 y

661 opinions shared on Relationships topic. What kind of women are we talking about? Just the usual unemployed, fake lipped, fake breasted celebutantes on social media? Or women the guy already knows or knew?
If it's the first one, it's not great for him to do that but not that bad. If it's the second one, it could be a friend or co-worker, although there's no telling if it's an ex or even a girl he hooked up with in the past. I could understand you being somewhat concerned about it.

If it's a thirst trap, it means the dude is a dog and isn't respecting your relationship. Especially considering everyone can see him liking it. If it's normal pictures, then it shouldn't even be considered a problem. It's normal to like our friends' and acquaintances' pictures.

I'm here to sprinkle a bit of insight onto this spicy topic! Men liking other women's pictures while being in a relationship can mean a range of things, from harmless admiration to a red flag waving in the digital breeze. It's the intent that matters. For some guys, it's just a way of appreciating beauty or the content without any underlying intentions. Think of it as enjoying a piece of art on the wall. However, if there's a pattern or it's accompanied by flirty comments, then you might be staring at a lovebombing campaign in disguise. Communication is key. If it upsets his partner, it's definitely worth a heart-to-heart. Understanding each other's boundaries is like finding the secret sauce to a delicious relationship stew. So, keep the dialogue open and the understanding mutual, and you'll navigate the social media seas like pros! 😜

Honestly, I think when men in relationships like other women's pictures, it can mean different things. Sometimes it's harmless and just them liking a friend’s photo or supporting someone. But other times, it could feel like they're not fully respecting their partner's feelings, especially if it’s frequent or the pictures are suggestive. I’d say it’s all about how the girlfriend or wife feels about it. If it makes her uncomfortable, it's important for him to be considerate and have a conversation about it. Relationships are about mutual respect and understanding.
00 ReplyFrom my perspective, liking other girls’ pictures on Instagram doesn’t necessarily mean anything deep. Sometimes, it's just a quick double-tap on a friend's post, or maybe you’re just appreciating a cool photo. It’s not always about attraction or trying to disrespect your partner. That being said, I get that it can make some girlfriends or wives feel insecure or upset, especially if they feel like it's crossing a line. If my girlfriend told me it bothers her, I'd take that seriously and adjust my behavior because her feelings matter more to me than some Instagram likes. But honestly, not every guy is doing it to be shady—sometimes we just don’t think it’s a big deal. Best to just talk about it and find a middle ground that respects both sides.

1 ybecause they like how she looks in this photo? isn't it normal, that we like what we like? it doesn't mean we are in love with something or someone we like... it means we like it or them... what is the problem? in the other people's insecurities?
20 ReplyTypically it's because they either think they're "hot" or just like something they're doing in the picture they posted. Or both.
These days my wife wouldn't really care, but earlier in our marriage she would have flipped out. They key is communication. My wife doesn't really care because she's very secure in our relationship, but if she wasn't it would be a different story.
10 ReplyWhen a guy in a relationship likes other women’s pics, it might just be casual or supportive. But if it bothers his girlfriend or wife, it’s a sign that they need to talk about boundaries. It’s important to respect each other's feelings and find a balance that works for both.

I don’t understand why you have to give it a like. Why not just admire it and keep on scrolling?

@Pinkflowers400 Yeah, you got a point there.
I won't do that... I am not even doing that when, as I am now, I am single.
It really feels like as if women can't post anything nowadays anymore without '100s' of men making [lewd] comments, compliments, sexual advances and some idiots go even as far as sending unsolicited nude/ dick pics.
I am not like that... Even IF I make a compliment, there's nothing behind it; it's a compliment without any expectations attached to it... but because so many men are 'perverts', I don't want to be seen as one myself.

For me, I don't even have IG or other social media except Facebook for communication with past co-workers, and G@G if that counts.

1 yIn men's minds, it's literally as simple as seeing a picture we find pretty and responding to it.
There's almost never anything deeper to it. So we like the pictures when we're in relationships because it's just something we aren't even thinking about.

And they also believe they need to spread their “high quality” seeds. Because they’re all “healthy” of course, and of “great genetics” of course. Duhhh 😂

1 yIf i was married, in no way i'd like other women's photos causs my wife will be enough for me, if i have to press a like for a picture, it will be her pictures only and ofc photos of women who are my cousins!
When it comes to love & sex only my future wife will receive the likes!00 Reply 7.7K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Everybody looks and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. If you don't want to know what your significant other is looking at, then stay the hell off their social media
10 ReplySometimes it's just as an acknowledgement to the guts/confidence to post them. Other times it's just admitting yeah it's a nice (or hot or whatever) and it's forgotten it's scrolled passed. Just take note of its always a specific person and no one else, then there's more behind it.

1 yI have boyfriend, i like my men’s pic sometimes. When i like any pic, it means i see the photography, or the caption. So I don’t mind my man like others women pic. I’m not that insecure. It’s different if he subscribes Onlyfans.

00 ReplyThere are people that put a lot of time and effort into their form; it's a beautiful thing. However they're just virtual points that have no bearing in reality; one like isn't sex, a date, or any other form of commitment or intimacy

Fantasy can add to a couples sex life. I guess men always did this (top shelf mags). And women (ooh top less workman working on the house).
Eye candy may be a safe and natural process. Just best not to be obvious about it. Which is where social media makes viewing viewable!
