I was there with my male friend I got talking to this guy he kissed me after wanting reassurance that my friend was NOT my boyfriend then he put his number in my phone and said he’d see me later. His friend was making love heart signs at me and this other guy and he himself seen me kissing another guy and dancing with him and seen me leave holding the other guys hand and wearing his hoodie and he smiled at us he also smiled at me whilst I was dancing with guy #2 and I just pretended not to see him. But his friend was shaking his head because I was rotating dancing with my male friend, guy #1 & guy #2

i texted him hey and he asked who I was as soon as I said in the girl (describing myself) he left me on read.

The dude saw you leave with another guy, that's basically the most obvious way of telling someone you're rejecting them. The dude basically knows you're interested in him seriously so why would be continue to talk to you?

Maybe he was smiling cause he realised you were interested in someone else and that he got rejected in a rather odd way. You say you liked him more but your actions told him the opposite.
