Why would he send me this message after a date where he kissed me asked to hold my hand ect. Did I maybe do something wrong?

Ps: I get this after some dates every now and then: I wonder if it’s something I do: he’s the one that I said it’s too soon when he asked to hold my hand but still did it anyway for like 2 mins.. when we said goodbye he lingered and I sort of just said a quick awkward bye and left. I don’t know

I’m not exactly sure, I think he might felt awkward to say it in person or made up his mind after the date. It’s hard to know what went on in his head.
I think the fact that he respectfully told you that he didn't feel any chemistry is a lot better than ghosting or leading you on any further.

It was just odd to ask to hold my hand etc maybe that was his way of getting a sense of if we had real chemistry or not.. I’m not sure but yeah I guess girls get turned down everyday at least he didn’t lead me on or completely left without explanation

I would think either they have odd levels of what’s acceptable or they where playing hard to get but my reason was if we hold hands we where in a busy part of the city if I see someone I know they’d think that’s my new boyfriend if we hold hands strangers would think we’re in a relationship when like in reality we just met!
