within two weeks of meeting a guy at church, he’s asked me for my number so that we could go to church together next time. we haven’t had the opportunity yet to have a 1 on 1 conversation but during church last week, he was being really flirty: sitting really close to me, mirroring my actions, and comforting me by physically giving me arm rubs when I teared up. he’s asked me about my weekend plans, and immediately lit up when i was free on Sunday to hang with him/go to church.

quite flirty in person, but we dont text or initiate hanging out. we are at an awkward stage where we are friends but we’re not close enough yet to just be asking each other if we want to hang.)

I wonder what is holding him up on the "date/". He seems like an assertive Christian whose pretty serious and you as well so it seems like a good fit. He is without a doubt interested especially if he's Baptist... cause touching in church with that crowd will get you a hell and damnation sermon. ;-)

Church guys are cringe as fuck. Holding hands and praying before every meal, looking down on everyone, and most of all self righteously being the sweet and gentle loving hand that's always willing to be there for people and put on a smile, even if he hates their fucking guts.

I’d say just go with the flow and wait until you are comfortable enough to actually have a conversation with him about what he’s looking for. It’s only been a couple weeks, if you feel a vibe with him then just see how it pans out for now.
