It's not something I would do outside of a pretty extreme circumstances (I've maybe blocked 2 people ever in all of my years online), but in most cases, the guy has decided that there's something about you that he doesn't like, and thus doesn't see a future with you. Now, *I* think it's cowardly not to have a conversation about that with the other person, but unfortunately there are a lot of cowards (of both sexes) in the dating world today, who find it easier just to block people.

Anyway, the take-away lessons are:

- Stop dating online

- NEVER "date" long-distance; ONLY date LOCALLY - if you can't spend real, physical time together in the same space at LEAST twice a week, it's virtually impossible for your relationship to last.

- Date people on your level, which means that you have to accept that just because you, as a young woman, may be able to get SEXUAL attention from attractive men doesn't mean you are on their level, or that sexual attention is the same as relationship attention. Men will sleep down, but they don't commit down.

I suspect most of the problem is that you were doing most (if not all) of your "talking" on-line instead of in-person. Well, that's all fake and it's a pointless waste of your time. Do you want to be in a relationship with a man, or with your phone? If you want a man, then you need to meet that man IN PERSON, and you need to make sure he lives within a 20-minute drive/ride from you, so that you can spend time together often and regularly. If you don't have that, then you really have nothing, and you are just wasting your time. And at 29, you have NO time to waste on fantasy relationships.
