What are some reasons as to why men breadcrumb women?

I've experience it before but mainly with exes. One I figure it was because he was bored. He was a covert narcissist as well. The other, I had broken up with and I had a feeling he might have been talking to someone else. It must not have worked out though. Hed call me once a week at random times acting like he was checking on me or pretending like i called him first.

It couldnt t be because he was looking for someone better because he usually likes dirty dark toned women (literal description so relax). They might have the same personality or similar but that's about it. Most haven't/don't have anything and if I could show you what they look like i would.

News flash, they were both covert narcs. Him calling you is just him fishing to see if he still has control. Narcs will do anything for a response. When you block them, they’ll go insane.

You should have known when he “pretended like you called him first” that he was gaslighting, which is a core narcissist trait. I used to deal with a man like this until I did a really in depth deep dive into narcissistic personality disorder and realized what he was doing and how not to let it happen again. Blocking is the only way to get rid of these leeches, there’s no need to over analyze the behavior.

Thank you. It was just so different from what I experienced with the last person so I thought things were different and he didn't trigger me in ways the last did. I'm trying to stop over thinking it but it's hard

People that bread crumb usually have their self esteem impacted by how much attention they can secure from others. On a different note how do you know he was a narcissist? was he diagnosed? If not I think you shouldn’t be throwing that word around loosely. Majority of people have narcissistic tendencies (some more so than others) doesn’t mean they are a full blown narc

I'm pretty sure I'd know the difference between one. There is a very distinct difference between someone with narcissism and just some tendencies.

no there’s not which is why you need a diagnosis from a professional. If you don’t have the qualifications then you shouldn’t be openly calling someone a narcissist regardless of what you think.

Half the time professionals can't even diagnose people properly so to solely rely on them is idiotic.. It's based on what I've experienced and have had confirmed and no narcissist is going to wake up and go "maybe I'm a narc or something is wrong with me and I need to get help"
