He unfollowed me on facebook after he rejected me and agreed on being friends , why is that?

He had a crush on me few years back and we reconnected again online recently , I asked him whether he had a crush on me cause i was interested to get to know him ( his friends tried to contact me also, so that means he had told his friends about me), but he lied saying he didn't rememeber who I was , but I didn't care and then we agreed on being friends. But after a day he unfollowed me. He's single by the way

If someone has a crush on a person, even a few years back, then one would not forget that crush so quickly even after a number of years. It is obvious that he ran out of excuses and that he realized that his lie was so blatant that he thought that it is best for him to unfollow you.

He probably thought that you would have changed your mind after so many years and that he would have a chance to get into your pants this time but after you told him that you could be friends, he thought it would be best to unfollow you and to forget this incident.

@SueShe This is terrible advice, "a few years back" means he liked her in her 20's when she was younger and hotter. He most likely has other options now because men reach their peak later in life and probably genuinely doesn't remember her. You part doesn't even make sense seeing how he denied even remembering her much less having a crush. He was being polite and unfolloed you because he's genuinely not interested. It's just difficult for women to except rejection
