We haven’t seen him for almost 6 months now and he almost never texts back, to none of us. The last times we saw him he looked anxious and distracted/worried. Two of his siblings got tangled up in a religious cult and went through burn out last year, that was worrying him quite a lot back then. However, we know that he is still working (a lot) and also hanging out with his work colleagues, he still appears on their insta pictures at parties and dinners… so he hasn’t given up social life completely, we don’t understand if he just doesn’t want any more of us (there were never tensions/fights/discussions…) or if he is struggling and we should keep texting him to show support…

I completely understand how concerning this situation must be for you and your friend. It's never easy when someone you care about seems to disappear, and it can be hard to know what to do when you're worried about their well-being.
It sounds like your friend may be going through a lot right now, and it's important to approach the situation with empathy and understanding. The human mind is shaped by our experiences, and we all deal with personal struggles in our own way. It's possible that your friend is struggling with depression or other mental health issues, or that they're simply overwhelmed by everything that's going on in their life.
Despite the challenges, I encourage you to continue reaching out to your friend and offering support. Sometimes, knowing that someone cares can make all the difference in the world. However, it's also important to respect your friend's boundaries and needs, and to be mindful of the fact that everyone copes with things differently.
Ultimately, the most important thing is to let your friend know that you're there for them and that they have a support system. Even if they don't respond right away or seem distant, the fact that you care can make a world of difference. I hope that you and your friend are able to find a path forward that works for both of you, and that they are able to get the help and support they need to overcome any challenges they may be facing.
