Insensitive or not?

So I had a conversation with my boyfriend and how I'm insecure because of how my acne left scars on my skin and I'm still trying to get rid of it. And obviously, he tried to tell me that I'm beautiful and everything. As you can expect, I'm still working on my self esteem and confidence. We were sharing links for music 5 minutes ago and he watched the video of the song I sent him. He replied with "hot girls in the video" and I'm not disagreeing with it. It just doesn't feel nice.

I think you kind of set yourself up to fail, not intentionally. But if there are hot girls in a music video, that's first thing we are going to notice, more so than the music. I am speaking for all guys. But will spot that in a music video.

I don't think he said it to, make you insecure, he just said what thought at the time, without think, what you feel about your acne. You have to remember, people sometimes say things without thinking, with not the intention to hurt your feelings.

He said it without thinking. that's what I think.

I would say, stop going on about your acne and scars, and how you feel about yourself, he wouldn't date you, if he wasn't attracted to you. No offence, its probably annoying to him. It can be annoying to keep reassuring someone on how they look, and what we think of them. You just become a bottomless pit of compliments, or could seen as a attention seeker.

Also remember don't assume the worst people all the time unless they have proven otherwise. A pattern of behaviour is proof of that.

I wpuldnt say its insensitive as that would require him to know that's its still on your mind more likely then not he is a idiot that thought the comment would be harmless
