Why does this guy only message me when he is at work and never in his free time?

This guy I have been talking to likes to frequently chat back and forward during the work week but not on his days off of work.

which I find odd as normally people message less when at work then on their days off.

he will not ignore me if I message him but he will never initiate messsging over the weekend. But once Monday hits I will receive a morning message.

I find it weird he doesn’t want to chat to me on his days off…only when he works

also same thing with the evenings during the week, he will reply if I message…but will never initiate anything once he gets home.
