A guy would have to be pretty dense to think a girl is interested in him if she ghosts him for 6 months. She shouldn’t need to explicitly tell him that she’s not interested for him to take a hint.

The nonverbal communication of someone who is attracted to you will always differ from the nonverbal communication of someone who is platonic with you. Actions speak louder than words.

Even if a girl doesn’t say anything explicitly, her actions can do the talking for someone who is perceptive.

If a girl only likes a guy when a guy likes her back, then the chemistry isn’t very strong.

If she likes the guy regardless of whether or not it’s reciprocated, a perceptive guy will be able to pick up on that, even if explicit words aren’t exchanged.

Like for example, if a guy liked a girl and the girl didn’t know that the guy liked her.

If the girl felt a certain way towards the guy, her attraction shouldn’t fluctuate too much from not-knowing to knowing about the guy’s feelings.

If a girl is into a guy, she’ll like him whether or not she knows he feels the same. And vice versa.

So, because the attraction won’t be changing much, the nonverbal communication wouldn’t change very much either.

Yeah, miscommunication is common. To read signals well, it requires a sharp intuition. And not everyone has that. The ones that do, are the best at flirtation because they know how to read people very well.

For your original question about whether a guy would take something as a rejection even if you didn’t out right reject them.

It would depend on how well they are able to read you.

Some guys are able to seemingly read your mind, some guys are able to take hints, and some guys are dense as hell and need communication to be super obvious.

And some guys are bad at reading people but they make incorrect assumptions often instead giving the benefit of the doubt.

I don't like to assume if I want her I'll tell her and ask her how she feels about me. That way there are no misconceptions
