I know me and my boyfriend are very much in love, he's my best friend and were even moving into are first house together in a couple days but he really struggles with affection.
He alway expects me to be the one to give affection even after nearly 4 years. I'm always the one to make the first move. I'm very clingy whilst he's the total opposite.
Whenever we walk down the street together he'll say "why aren't you holding my hand, have I upset you?" But it's because why should I always be the one to take his hand.
If I don't give him a cuddle before we go sleep he says the same but why can't he give me a cuddle. He hates kissing and always has its not a issue with me.
We rarely have sex because he's just not interested in it he'd rather cuddle and watch a film. I just feel defeated sometimes and that I should just give up trying to make him notice me in that way.
He's definitely changed his affection toward since we moved in with his family. Before he missed me more because we'd only see each other on weekends and we have less private time. Plus his family try and embarrass him and he goes all shy.
I've noticed his I stop being affectionate towards him, he notices and will start being affectionate but I don't like playing games..
He's very shy and has a lot of childhood turma that he tries to hide due to having a alcoholic abusive dad who he now has to care for but he also has a lot of resentment towards.
He always thinks he has to be the man of house and can't show weakness. He says it will be better once we have are own house but I don't think anything will change because he always feels so stressed for a lot of reasons
