There are a couple that I've always wondered what if.
One in particular.
We knew of each other for a long time.
one night at our fire department street dance she was their with a friend, and I just couldn't take my eyes off of her.
We went back to my place and went for a boat ride, kissed a bit, nothing else.
We dated a few times, we were both pretty busy, she had 3 daughters and ran a dance studio, but we had a lot of fun together.
Things just seemed to kind of fizzle, and while we were friends, we just didn't go out any more.
Many years later I was talking to a friend that knew her, and she told me that she stopped dating me because she thought that I wanted to have kids of my own, and she couldn't have any more kids, and that I deserved to be with someone that could have kids.
Little did she know that I couldn't have kids, and I was fine with that.
By then it was too late, we had just moved one.
I sure wish that I would have known that back then.
I've always wondered what if...

I met a girl on a family trip when I was a teen. We had a genuine connection hung out daily morning to night I’d walk her all way home then back to my cottage.

We exchanged numbers & addresses because at the time cell phones didn’t exist you could send letters 😑. I never bothered trying to contact her when I got home figured it was a waste.

I kinda wish I wouldn't have f*cked things up with Deirdre. But oh well. It probably wouldn't have worked out anyway. I don't think she was that into me.
