Guy at work messages me “hai” is that flirting? Do guys talk to other guys like this?

Whenever he dm’s me he always uses hai, is it just because I’m a younger girl? I can’t imagine him using this to the other men he’s working with? There are other reasons why I think he has a crush on me too, like on video calls with him he talks about himself for a good 20 minutes and we just talk about random things, when I had to interview to get the job he was one of the guys interviewing me then after they hired me he said right away he just knew I was the one and all other candidates didn’t matter anymore and how thrilled he was when I got the job. And other small things he says. I know they’re little things but idk… thoughts?

it seems like you like him, he definitely doesn't dislike you but maybe he wouldn't ask you on a date now as you are still new to work and since he’s interviewing you im guessing he’s one if your superiors, so maybe he has to test the waters and calculate his moves because if he makes any wrong moves it’ll be awkward throughout any other future meetings :)
so flirt with him for now but dont build anything yet till you get to know him more
