Arm rest from someone?

In jeepney -Philippine public transportation- when the jeepney was full and I was beside w/ this guy prob. near my age. As I napping coz of tiring day, I feel like his arm was not touching my shoulder. Because when the jeep stop, I will be close to his body, since his other arm wasn't there, so I thought where it was. And then as I looked to the other side to see where it was, it was above into my backrest-- like the couple gesture when the male become territorial to its woman-- his hand and arm don't lay into my shoulder. He just rest it above the backrest, and I just shove what happen, since WHAT IF it was nothing and I'm tired to care.

1st he rest his arm into above the backrest where I seat, and minutes later he removed it. And another minutes later he put it back, so he do it for the 2nd time. Then me a naive one, and it's my 1st time to experience that
