Maybe. Could be. I've never been a dumper honestly so I really can't say what male dumpers do. I've always been the one who cared a lot about the relationship, even to a fault I will admit, which probably were some of the reasons they let go.

But however things ended, don't live your life worrying about someone who is no longer worried about you. I know you're hurt, and it's hard to hear and hard to move on, but you need to recognize that someone who let you go didn't really value you. Deep down they could've thought you were unattractive, not good at sex, not very interesting - or any kind of reason for why they wanted to dump you. It hurts. But if they left you, they're obviously not the best person for you. Please don't spend your days and months hoping he will come back, stalking his social media, trying to text him, etc. Let that guy go and take it as an experience to either better yourself or learn about what kind of guy he is.

No. Chances are he already had his eye on them before. Just didn’t do it while he was w a girl cause he’d catch some shit for it. So now that he’s back in charge of his life he can follow them.
