Why do guys start following random women on instagram after a breakup?
I don't know how many guys do that, I don't think many do. As far as I've seen, social media doesn't hold the same value for men as it does for women. For example, when a women usually likes a photo, she mostnof the time genuinely likes or it has a certain degree of emotions involved, hence holds it to greater importance. For a guy, generally, it's just the click of a button, nothing more.
But the type of guy you are describing is probably just trying to meet new girls but accidentally ends up looking desperate.
