If you’re the said guy, then I guess you’d start with your therapist. What helped me with emotional immaturity was asking heaps of questions of therapists, counsellors and just people online to improve my knowledge and I had a responsible job for three years. I guess before that, I was about five years behind others myself.

No diss to single moms out there (actually more diss to the dads who aren't in the picture) but a boy raised mostly by a woman tends to develop this bastardized mx of feminine and masculine traits, like vanity (shirtless pics, dick pics, etc), gossiping, gaslighting, lack of emotional control (although it tends to manifest more in outward aggression in men while it seems to result more in a sense of being overwhelmed and inward harm in women), etc.

I speak from some firsthand experience since my parents divorced when I was very young, although I at least had the privilege of bouncing back and forth between mother and father every couple of years.

You can see that a lot too in American black men. Not black men in general like African men, but specifically black men raised in inner cities. They have single-mother syndrome since well over half of them are raised by single moms. And it is so widespread that it influences the popular culture with many black men saying things like, "I feel like," "I feel you," -- extremely feminine language. And that's kind of the behavior of what you get of a guy raised by a woman but out on the streets and trying to simultaneously learn how to be a man. You get the worst of both worlds typically.

So you get a lot of feminine traits in those like an obsession with material and status: bling-bling, gold rims on tires, men even criticizing each other on wearing mismatching colors, things of this nature. But you also get hyper-misguided masculine traits too often like extreme aggression. I don't want to write an entire book on it but there's a pathology to a boy raised by a single mom, and it's usually not hard to tell which ones they are when they misbehave.

Because he's immature, but it's still effective. I mean you're still in contact and have not blocked him. Lowkey women love the drama. Who's really the one playing games and acting naive.
