Why do guys stand up when they pee?

I stand to whiz only when outside, at urinals, or if a public toilet is nasty.

I started sitting to pee 45 years ago when I bought my first house and was cleaning up after only myself. I discovered that there is absolutely no way to prevent splatter and spray when standing to piss, no matter how good one's aim. I don't care what anyone else says about it. If you stand to piss, there's going to be piss on the toilet and all around it, the floor, cabinetry, whatever.

I haven't had to clean up piss in 45 years.

Any guy that says that he doesn't make a mess when pissing standing up either has a nasty bathroom, has someone to clean it for him, or cleans without realizing that he's cleaning up piss (that'd be awfully hard to believe).

I don't know about anybody else I can only speak for myself but it's just easier it's faster standing up it's actually more comfortable too

Sitting down there's too much of a splash and I don't like that wetness I don't like that at all so it's just easier for me to just pull it out and go

It's easier than sitting down, and also healthier, compared to sitting down on a potentially dirty toilet seat. Also, in a public building (stadium, arena theater) there are almost always many more urinals than toilet stalls, so standing up to pee has a shorter line, if any.

Interestingly, most American men pee standing up while most European men sit down.

It's just easier not to pull my pants all the way down to my ankles and sit my ass on the toilet seat (which, let's face it, might be not so clean). My dick is very easy to aim... just one finger to nudge it so it points at the toilet, and I just let my pee fly.
