I did that when I was deployed to the best of my ability. I did that when I started working domestically. If you're going to get pissy with me that time that i don't/can't, then I'm not going to do it at all, but personally I like a quick call a lot more so I can actually hear my S. O. s voice first/last thing in the day.
I guess it's okay. But I don't like text conversations. Text is for simple messages like "Do have time to chat?" or "I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. What time should I pick you up?"
I prefer talking on the phone, especially at the end of the day before we go to bed.
I say "it depends" because there is a difference between indicating that she enjoys receiving texts, and making it a *chore* that must be done to avoid her becoming upset.
I'm always happy to learn what makes my SO happy, but I never want to feel like there are a set of tasks I need to do.
If someone wants to talk to you they will do that on their own time table. If you want some sort of artificial routine, don't be surprised when they write a small macro to automate the task. You really want to talk to a computer program?
Not at all, I'd be happy to send her good morning and goodnight texts, but my SO would never ask me for that... she hates texting.
I live with mine and work from home. When I went to the office I tried to text her once during the workday.
I don't see it as being a problem especially if were were apart from each other.
I am on business trips regularly and text with my wife. More in the morning than evening since I might be out with colleagues but we keep regular contact
Not at all. Did that daily before my now-wife moved in.
No lol but I’m not a morning person when I wake up, I’ll do it
Nope; not a turn off.
No, that would be fine
no we do that when I am working out of town.
