I would say that he hurts emotionally hurt and deeply insecure about it. I would also assume that he know to ask for advice so he talks to any woman he meets about his past relationship problems.

Either he's emotionally traumatized by the experience or it turned him on that he got cheated on, and he hopes you'll cheat on him, too.
