Why would your boyfriend be really mad at you for taking pics of him on his phone?

I didn't have my phone on me so I wanted to take some pics of the sunset. I was just joking around and said that my boyfriend might be in some of the pics. He got really mad at me and was raising his voice, telling me to delete them or not to be taking pics of him on his phone. He said he doesn't wanna go in the gallery to delete pics of him so don't take pics of him. But... What's so bad about that? Why wouldn't a guy want pics of himself on his phone? Would there be a reason? It wasn't intentional on taking pics of him. He just so happened to be in the view, too...

Men usually aren’t into taking pics the way women are w looking for attention. I don’t like my pics taken either. But honestly I think there’s more to it. I suspect that he may have something on his phone that he doesn’t want you to see. Good chance it’s another girl. You may not think so but men usually aren’t going to react this way about our pic being taken. We may just hide our face or ask you not to take a pic of us but to the point of yelling at you, no. Something is going on there. Chances are he didn’t want to be in them if you were going to post them online because someone may see them, like his side chick, a wife.

But he lets me use his phone freely and both our social medias are filled with pics of us already.
I don't normally post pics of him like that tho. Especially if it's just a pic of a sunset that he just so happens to appear in but the shadows and rays hide him anyway. So... I didn't think it would've been a problem.

Yeah, a couple of times but not as bad as this time.
The first two times, he would just chuckle and tell me to send the pics or vids to myself before he deletes them. But he doesn't delete them right away. Usually would be months out. He insists he only wants pics of me on his phone.

He has anger issues when he thinks he's right but is wrong and someone is trying to explain to him the correct way. He also has anger issues when he's being confronted about anything.

He has the same attitude as when a guy is being "too gay"

So maybe consider meeting someone else. Unless he’s willing to get some help. I’m not sure if this is the type of person you’d want to be with.

It's really not the type of person I would ever go for at all. The love I have for him is what's holding me back from leaving him. 😓

I understand but you need to love yourself more, not in a concedes way either. I don’t think this is the type of life you want especially if you two have children.

Some of us aren’t into pictures. Shocking, I know, since girls take 15 photos of themselves having a Starbucks, but not all of us like looking at ourselves, or being looked at, or having photos on our phone that can be data-mined and uploaded to Google or Apple with our geolocation and a time stamp for all the world to see on our ten different social media apps.

Okay I understand that, but it's only once in a long while and plus, he saves the selfies of us that he likes.
He has also told me multiple times that he wants to retake certain pics he's taken of himself before.

Are you sure he isn't married or involved with someone else and you are the other chick?

Yeah, I'm sure he isn't any of that.
He's completely fine if I take pics of us/him on my phone or someone else's phone but not on his. Although, he does have a few of our selfies on his phone that he likes and saved, and on his phone wallpaper as well.

All our pics, he goes through them and just saves the ones he like when I share them with him on messenger.
But taking them on his phone seems to be a problem?

I would see it as a red flag. It's not normal for a guy to reach in such a way, unless he was hiding something
