What does it mean when a guys calls me cute during sex?

I just want to know what’s going on in a guy’s head when he says this because it’s happened to me now on multiple occasions with 3 different guys so there must be a pattern here. We’d either be mid sex or heavily make out and he’ll pull back to just look at me for a bit and then tell me “you’re so cute” before getting back into it. Not exactly the words I expect to hear when doing the nasty. Hot or sexy - sure, but cute? That has a bit of an innocent connotation, which kind of makes me feel like they’re trying to say “you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing but it’s adorable that you’re trying”. Also, out of all the ways you can call a girl attractive, I feel like cute is the lowest term on the totem pole - but maybe that’s just how I view it. I’m sure guys have their own use cases. I honestly wouldn’t think much of it, but the fact that it’s happened so often is making me wonder what’s prompting it. I mean, I’ll take the compliment I guess but I just want a little male insight on what you guys think it could mean.

I don't really have anything helpful to say but I've experienced something like that before. Sexted this guy online (i know, sexting might be kinda lame), and he told me I'd look cute pregnant, like what? I had the same confusion as you cause I also view being called cute as lesser than hot or pretty. Another guy also found me too cute to be on a particular app (his words, not mine. i don't like being called cute, it's belittling to me) that, because of it, he wanted to impregnate me or sum shit like that. So yeah. Guys are weird.

I don’t see anything wrong with it. I think “cute” has more of a broad meaning than the other words describing attraction. I wouldn’t worry about it.

"Cute" usually implies non-sexual attraction.
