How to know if a swiss German guy likes you?

Hey I wanna ask you guys about swiss German guy, I met a swiss guy irl he came to visit me.. he asked me if I still like him or not.. everytime people asking him who am I he said girlfriend.. he offered his drink to me a lot, we hugged and holding hands.. he's polite but he never kiss me.. it's weird.. do you think he likes me, no?

Just curious though. In what language do you ask him? Switzerland has 4 official languages, plus most speak English.

He said he likes me.. actually I asked him twice on text "do you like me as a friend?" He didn't answer and today he's leaving to the airport, I asked him is he likes me as a friend" he said I like you as a friend.. I feel like his actions show that he likes me more than a friend, he paid for almost everything, but he never kiss me.. we hugged and holding hands.. we speak deutsch and English
