If a guy deletes his social media without warning and no announcement or anything, what does it mean?

They’re trying to make some drastic change in their life.


Like swearing off alcohol or drugs and going cold turkey. They’re doing it with social media.


Maybe they found social media toxic or addicting or just a negative influence that’s not serving them in life.


Or maybe they want to get away from electronics and connect with nature.


It could be many things.


But, usually it’s accompanied with a drastic life decision, or a season in life where they are soul-searching, or they are going through something big/bad and they want to shut the world out.

I’ve had a friend, and a cousin do this. For myself, I almost did this. But instead of deleting, I just became rarely active/online.

Could be several things. I've gotten rid of most my social media accounts because they were distracting. Probably not all at once though. But again, if someone's absolutely done with how much time wastage it incurs, could be everything all of a sudden.

I deleted Facebook a few weeks ago because if just got out of a long term relationship and I didn’t want to delete photos and have people speculating.

It may be that he doesn’t see a need for it any more and is looking to improve his life.
