I suppose some women hope that they can "tame" such a guy and keep him in a long-term exclusive relationship.

Personally, I think the risk would be too great. The guy will stay as he is or relapse later after a temporary change, for example a few years into a marriage.

Maybe some life-changing medical issues or a new religion could work such a change in him. It will be difficult to say. Best to stay away.

Here's the issue, tons of women that are in bad relationships get in them because they think they can change the guy. The only person that can change the guy is himself and he wants to change. Enjoy being used. But I wouldn't hold my breath thinking he's going to be serious anytime soon
