On my period, told my boyfriend I might have attitude, he says he understands completely and it’s normal, then he says i’m mean to him?

Hey guys so today i just started my period also i have a toothache from my wisdom tooth growing out, i told my boyfriend i might have some attitude due to the pain and he said it’s completely understandable and it’s ok. I went ahead and took a nap then got woken up by a phone call.

i was a bit grumpy but had to go outside to get a package. My boyfriend asked what happened and where i’m going and i said “somewhere” keep in mind i was still waking up. I came back and he went under the blanket having a tantrum but i didn’t say anything. Then i called him over and asked what’s wrong he said “ you’re being mean to me so leave me alone”

i didn’t think i said or did anything wrong but i responded back with “ok” he went back under. I went to bed and started crying because i didn’t know what i did that was so mean…. He came up to me and asked “what’s wrong what’s wrong i can hear you upset” I didn’t respond i’m ignoring him because he comforted me so much this morning and sweet talked me and now he’s mad at me and I don't know why….. i didn’t even yell at him and it’s so unfair. Now he keeps bugging me asking what’s wrong.

So you were a smartass with him when he asked a simple question. He, by your accounts, responded like a little punk and threw a tantrum, then YOU started crying about it. So he asked you what was wrong because he could hear you and you want to play games and not say what it's about, when ultimately what it's about is you smarted off with "somewhere" instead of answering like a polite adult. God you sound insufferable. Granted he sounds like some moody emo kid, so I suppose you deserve each other, but if the two of you don't learn to communicate better it's going to be a long relationship.

that’s true it’s irritating to guys, i felt i couldn’t tell him what’s wrong because he blew me off too. after he told me i was being mean i tried talking about it but he was still cold. I can’t do anything about that just have to let him cool off but my feelings are important too.

I missed the part where he blew you off. That when he went and had his temper tantrum or when is that? He at least asked you what's wrong before his tantrum. Or the "you're being mean to me leave me alone" part? Well, you weren't being mean, but surely not being pleasant, and if he chooses not to be around someone in a piss mood I see nothing wrong with that inherently. He handled it like a child, but I don't think that invalidates the reason for spreading out in different places.
