I think there are two main problems:

1. Many guys prefer short term thinking over the long term. At least in my experience guys are less likely to be taught to focus on the long term effects of their actions. Not as girls that are often taught to avoid actions and food that could harm their hormon circle guys think that nothing they do will harm their health. Guys learn from young age that if done right they have pleasure with reduced consequences ("Boys will be boys"). Guys realise that there are consequences in the long-term when they are already addicted to something and get unhappy about it. Either they are strong enough to fight it or they aren't,.

2. Modern Western culture strongly individual. Guys and women alike learn early to focus on personal success. For guys there is lone wolf ideal something that especially so called alpha guys and guys that want to be part follow. The problem with that ideal is that a lone wolf has no time for relationships nor a family. A lone wolf takes and leaves when he got what he wanted. Lone wolfs create single moms because they don't want to be bothered with raising a child since that hinders personal success. I think single moms are created by culture because it tells women and guys alike they prioritise personal interests over having a family and investing in it.

I'd say it's a mix of those two it's not a list. I'm not sure how to change it though.

We put far too much stock in testosterone online these days.

Fact is a man can be purposeful and dominant and strong and protective without overflowing with a specific hormone.

The thing is we have entered a vicious cycle of single moms breeding irresponsible men who create more single moms and irresponsible men

How this stops is by restricting divorce which is something no one wants to hear.

If a man or a woman can walk out of marriage at the drop of a hat the number of single parent households will only increase.

But if divorce needs legitimate cause to be valid we will have a much healthier generation in the future and this problem will be fixed organically
