How do you tell if a man truly loves you?

Straight forward question.

You'll know because he will make sacrifices for you. That might mean working more hours to bring more money to the household (or taking a job he hates, or is much harder work, for the same reason), or he will protect you from various kinds of danger even though that usually means HE's now at risk. And he'll, at least sometimes, do things with you that he hates and would never do because he knows it makes you happy. For example: spending a day with you at the mall - most guys would rather have dental surgery than shop for clothes and household goods at the mall, but most will go with their girl at least once in a while just to make her happy.

Men are action-oriented. They express their feelings by DOING things. Men rarely sit around FEELING things in the way that women do - in a man's mind, when he has a FEELING, it usually means he either did something, or needs to do something. If it's a bad feeling, then often he's going to want to DO SOMETHING (something other than just thinking or talking about it) so that the cause of those feelings are neutralized.

Often they are little things: putting a blanket over you if you fall asleep on the couch watching TV. Bringing you tissues if you are sneezing or have a runny nose. Making sure to get your special order when he's going out for take-out food. Sometimes it will be a bit bigger - like waking up 4 hours early to drive you to the airport, or spending a holiday with your family even though you have a busybody aunt who constantly gives him a hard time.

While we might do some of these things for a close friend, it's pretty rare. Most of these things are limited to romantic partners, so it's not going to be too difficult to tell the difference.

When you truly love and accept yourself, you will naturally only share your body, life and soul with those that have this same love for you. Your boundaries will be strictly enforced and never allowed to be stepped over. This self respect and self love will be what determines if a man truly loves you, because he will never cross any of those boundaries and will naturally respect them. But even if we don't know who we are, we will still project this outward and others will also reflect this toward us.

He will do everything for you. He will put you first. He will go to you first when he needs input on something. He will remind you of how you guys met. He will compliment you regularly regardless of how long you been together. A whole long list but this a little something lol.
