Guys, I’ve caught my crush staring at me more than once but he’s already showed that he’s not interested, (my friend told) so what’s his staring mean?

What also could've happened is that he's too afraid to admit it.. being afraid of rejection is normal.. so that might be the case. But I need more context, I feel like I'm pretty good at knowing if someone has a crush but those were my personal experiences.

My friend is female and she’s only my friend…I owed her for a ton of dutch bros I had gotten over the month and she blabbed to his sister (we’re also friends ) about me liking her brother cause I didn’t pay her……. anyway he’s kind of a bully to my friends but he’s super nice and polite to me he recently asked me about my ex which was award, he looks at me a lot and we’re always a across from each other, he’s super helpful and when he catches me staring he usually smiles and stars back!

I feel like he likes you? Or at least finds you really attractive. I shouldn't trust that friend since she's not friends with him, she could be jealous. I went to a boys school with maximum of 100 girls and a lot of boys had crushes on me.. let's just say that I learned that some girls just only live for attention from guys and get jealous of you if you get more than them.
