How do you deal with a much older male security guard at work who tells you “I love you”?

I don’t think he’s what I’m really looking for in a husband. I mean can he be a provider if he’s a security guard? He doesn’t know my name either.
I’m guessing this is his idea of a joke to say to a young woman?

This sounds like common sense but I'll break it down for you. He knows nothing about your personality and he doesn't even know your name but yet he told you that he loved you. He obviously only cares about your body. He only wants to have sex with you. Is this the type of man you want in a husband? Also, his job profession has nothing to do with rather he is a good provider or not.

You can do 1 of 3 things. Take is seriously and report him to the higher ups so that he can terminate his behavior. Two: Don't take him seriously and be playful back without any sort of romantic intent. Just have fun. Although he may get the wrong idea and think that you are flirting with him. Three: Ignore him or tell him please don't make those comments ever again and if he does, he has crossed your boundaries.

That's rather forward, isn't it? You don't owe anyone a response to that, and when you're at work, you're there to do a job--not to care for a man's ego. But it sounds like you're entertaining the idea of a relationship if you're analyzing what he's doing for a living. That's usually not how love works. If you have an attraction, and you find that you both are suitable together, then you make it work if you want to. But if you're set against it because you don't like his age or what he does for work, then just move on and tell him or your supervisor that his advances need to stop.
