Help me figure out if he’s telling the truth?

My boyfriend is a welder and so he sometimes get burns on himself. I’ve seen his burns before and he has gotten some on his neck. But this one he says is a burn is sketchy. I was out of town and we were on the phone I asked how work was he said good then said I got burnt on my neck I’ll take a picture and show you. Which is weird he’s never done that nor did I ask to see it. It’s weird because that’s the only place this “burn” is and it doesn’t really look like a burn. I could be wrong I hope I am please help me figure out if he’s lying. This is the picture he sent me

The fact that he’s trying to prove it to you is suspicious. I don't know about the photo but if he normally doesn’t do this but suddenly is now would make me question it. Has his instagram followers gone up? Maybe he’s following a new girl or something

it doesn't look like a burn or a hickey but a scratch, like he was itching and scratched to hard, i work in healthcare and we see it all the time.

Typically these burns will occur from a small drop of molton slag. It looks hicky like to me but maybe just let it go for now.

Impossible to tell exactly. But hickeys are larger size and roundish shape.

Looks like something hot rolled down his neck. I have scars from 15 years ago on my legs when my polyester pants caught on fire and melted to my leg.
I would believe him this time.

the only way you'll know if it's a hickey is if it starts bruising around it (like green/yellow bruising). good luck.

Here's what u do compare a welder burn to a hickey and see which one matches. It does look like a hicky to me

I am not sure but I have seen welders get burns similar to this. Was he not wearing protective gear?
