I bet to some extent they do just like girls do. It is really going to be down to the individual as to how much they share. It will also be how close the friends are I would think. I wouldn't worry about it though. I mean it has been over five years so what is there really to tell? If it was just a hookup back then he may just mention that he did so his friend (the guy you like) knows. Honestly I think it is more about the friends and how close they are more than do guys or girls do that more.
