Is it "usual" for a guy to interlock fingers with a woman on first date?

This guy I went on first date with, interlocked his fingers with mine as we walked and talked after our dinner.

Do guys usually do that with dates, or is it something deeper than "usual"? For example, if guys feel connection, chemistry, etc? I've dated a guy that held my hand, but our fingers were not intertwined.

I enjoyed the time when my fingers were locked with his, but I don't want to overthink if it's something common or usual for guys to do with their dates.
