How can I help my friend who tends to like guys that don’t like her back and stops going out achieving her goals with these distractions?

What is the distraction? The guys she chases? Unfortunately there isn't much you can do. You don't wanna come off as controlling or you know what is best for her even if you do. She will start to shy away like most people do. She is going to go after those that she is attracted to whether they like her back or not. That is just human nature to like what you like. She is probably hoping that one of them at some point will like her back. I bet it is a numbers game for her. Do it enough and she will get lucky.

It’s quite sad to see someone in their mid 40s who wants a partner and still single. But you are right I don’t want to be these cheeky controlling people

That is a shame that she isn't being more realistic. Are the guys just outta her league or just not the right types? Where is she meeting them at typically?

Yeah these guys are making 100k doing teaching and quite attractive

Ever thought of going out with her and introducing her to some guys that might be more suitable? That is if you know some or friends of friends. Just trying to think of some ways to divert her attention to guys that might be interested. You wouldn't even have to say that was the intent of going out. To her it would look natural that so and so just happened to be there. Just an idea.

I wish I knew guys but I don’t know any in the age category she’s about 15 years older than me. It’s really a hard one I’m not the best for dating advice to her either

I do feel bad for her as she really wants someone but still single in her mid 40s. But I don’t want to come across as a know it all. I think i won't get involved. I will just need to support her

Have a real heart to heart one time when you explain that you love them so you want to point some things out that they might be missing and leave it at that.
