My friend misinterprets that every guy likes her and it's getting annoying; how do I make her stop?

I'll be telling her something unrelated and she randomly chimes in about how these guys like her. It is constant and it is getting really annoying. For some of the guys I have kinda agreed because they might, but for some she is definitely over-reacting. I know this because I know their reactions and she tends to over-draw things.

What should I say? I don't want to bring her down but I am getting annoyed. Help!

from my experience, just let her be. don't be that friend to burst her bubble and knock her down. friends like each other for who they are, and if she's comfortable speaking her mind out loud with you, then take it as a compliment that she trusts you as a friend to tell you her boy crazy thoughts and tell you anything, I mean that's what friends are for right?

i used to have terrible friends always telling me how to act, how to be, over-controlling, bursting my bubbles and its because they were jealous and competitive and couldn't see me happy I guess? even if it was for the moment. I've learned over the years what good friendship means, and I truly think a good friend is one that doesn't compare their life to yours, they don't compete with you and they don't tell you how to live your life. everyone is unique in their own way and everyone learns different experiences their own way. you can't teach others to follow everything your way. just chill and smile at the moment.

It's not a compliment. She doesn't listen when I tell her my problems...and it's not her being boy crazy...she even acts superior a lot lately. I am happy with myself and wouldn't trade with her.

I am deff not jealous of her. I let her be happy but there is only so much of the ridiculousness I can accept. I don't think it's nice to let someone live in the fantasies that aren't true, and I don't think it's nice of her to expect me to pretend. SHE compares us.

okay then yea the friendship is headed for doomsday. I think you're both drifting apart and if there's comparing and jealousy and negativity going on, then its time to move on, make new friends and may be don't spend as much time with her. try to keep your distance and if she asks you why just be honest that you don't like the way the friendship is headed.

maybe you should just let her realize her own mistakes. for example, let her keep thinking a guy likes her then if she makes a move on him and he rejects her then you can explain to her that she has been over-reacting.
