What can I do to let him know I’m interested?

There’s this guy that I don’t have any classes with except lunch and he’s always hearting my stories when I post myself and so I heart his too. A while ago I posted a quote that said “if I heart your stories don’t be dumb, I want you” and he hearted that post but he never approached me. I posted yesterday a quote that insinuated that I like men that are his race and he hearted it as well. I also make eye contact with him in the halls and sometimes smile and I catch him staring a lot but he never approaches me. He hangs around a lot of women all the time so I know he’s not shy but I don’t know if I should just stop or I should do something else.

Hmm yeah it seems like this guy is definitely interested based on all the hints he's dropping! Hearts all your stuff, stares at you in the halls - he's making it pretty obvious lol.

If I were you, I'd try slipping him your number somehow. Maybe "accidentally" drop it near his table at lunch or something so he finds it. That way the ball is in his court to text you if he wants. Or you could try sitting near him one day and just casually start a conversation. Guys can be clueless sometimes so you probably need to make the first real move.

You could also try posting another flirty quote and see if he engages more that time. But honestly, seems like he might be shy and waiting for you to give him a reason to talk. Hmm yeah if he's always around a bunch of people that does make it harder to get him alone to chat. A few ideas:

- Try catching him on his way to/from class when maybe he's by himself for a minute. Even just a quick "hey what's up" works.

- Get mutual friends involved accidentally haha. Like mention to some people you have classes with that you think he's cute and see if word gets back to him.

- Be bold and approach when he's with friends. Introduce yourself and say you wanted to talk to him, then invite him to walk with you after so you're not stuck in the crowd. Assertiveness shows confidence which guys notice.

- DM him on Instagram or Snapchat if you have him. Start with something casual like asking about a homework assignment as an excuse to message. See where the convo leads.

- As a last resort, write your number on a slip of paper and "accidentally" leave it where he'll find it, with a note that says "call/text me sometime" so the ball is in his court.

Just because he hangs around a lot of girls doesn't mean he is going to approach you if he has a thing for you. People can get weird around crushes. I also wouldn't take liking social media posts to mean a whole lot. I am sure your friends do the same thing and that doesn't mean they have a thing for you. The only thing you can do is ask him out. Ask him to have lunch with you. See what happens. If he accepts try and get to know him a little bit and if signs are positive suggest doing something outside school. I don't get the feeling he is going to make the first move.
