How do you let a guy know you’re interested?

If you wanted to tell a guy you’re into him (even if it’s not as romantically, just as a friend) and you’d be interested in spending time with him, how should you do it, body language or physically? And are guys generally shy with girls, even if they’re not good looking?

Guys have the awareness of a potato. You could just walk up and tell him while he's alone/not busy. I can guarantee its better to just *do something* than sit around hesitating for a week wasting time. Do make sure to specify if its a 'just friends' or a 'dating' thing.
I'm not sure about shyness, but a guy might be rather quiet the first time while he thinks about the situation. Give him a minute.

Maybe when asking them, consider having something planned. Like suggesting going to a theater or go try a new restaurant, I don't know. If he doesn't like you back, well, he'll either tell you then, or you'll hang out a couple times and you guys will realize it won't work out.

He’d not really want to answer you and would feel put on the spot. He wouldn’t be enthusiastic about the idea and would look around for an exit to get out of the situation.
