Snapchat or number?

Why do guys ask for Snapchat and not number. He said he likes me. We’ve been talking for about 5months through dms but he hasn’t asked for my number yet. By the way it’s long distance. We were classmates.

Most guys aren't going to ask a girl for her number because of bad experiences. And because they know a girl can play games about her number, like giving a fake one or asking for his with no intention of ever texting or calling. Plus a lot of women become mousy or terrified about a guy asking for her number, as if it's an invasion of privacy.

I don't use Snapchat but I know a lot of people do and guys do seem to like it so that could be their primary reason.

I wouldn't look into it too hard, these days I don't ask for phone numbers either.
With so many other options available, phone numbers have become a subject of privacy.
Once we actually start something together, then we should exchange numbers, but before that it can come across as pushy and intrusive.

Because the chances of something working out with that person aren't high so you gotta be cautious with the info you hive out, if he gave you his snap it does mean he's interested and the more y'all bond the closer you get to getting his number, fuck it up and you never will
