His friend laughs whenever I speak to the guy I like?

I approached the guy I like and began speaking with him, and he’s acknowledging me as well. All I hear is his friend chuckling to himself because he was in the room too but his back was faced to us. Why would his friend laugh when we’re talking? This happened twice today. And other days his friend would smile at us when I’m speaking to the guy I’m interested in

Hmm that is kinda weird that his friend is laughing like that when you're talking to the guy. Could be a few things:

- His friend might know you like the guy and is finding it amusing to see you chatting him up. Friends can be immature like that sometimes.

- Maybe the friend ships you guys as a couple and is just happy/excited to see you talking. Weird way to show it though.

- Could be the friend is messing around, trying to embarrass the guy you like and get in his head a bit. Some dudes do that friend rivalry kind of stuff.

- A long shot, but I guess it's possible the friend has a crush on you and is laughing cuz he's jealous? But that seems less likely.

Either way, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Maybe next time just call the friend out joking like "Yo what're you laughing at over there?" to see what he says.

Keep chatting up the guy you like - if he ain't pushing you away or seem weirded out, I'd say that's a good sign! Don't let his friend's weird behavior discourage you.
