Is this guy on snap interested in me?

Okay so I added him a few weeks ago but just now started to make conversation. He was continuing the convo and talking through chat the last few days and responding to my stories but he left me on chat opened the other day (I then snapped him just to continue contact) and we’ve been snapping back and forth but not consistently. He seemed interested in me, but I’m thinking I came on too strong? Starting the conversation randomly? Need help on continuing from here! I’m on delivered at the moment

I would try to set something up outside of school (if that is something you are allowed to do) like a date. Some guys just aren't into texting a whole lot, so this is a good way to see if he is always like that or if it's just over the phone.

I can tell he’s pretty shy, but I think I might scare him by asking that since we haven’t even met in person or know each other that well. If we keep talking this is definitely the next step I think
