Your take on this?

There’s a guy in class who always sits next to me (we can choose our seats) in class. We’ve said hello to each other and talked a bit. Anyhow one day I said hello and he seemed in a bad mood, saying “hi” very coldly. I assumed that I must have made him feel uncomfortable. So next time around, he comes by and I don’t say hello. He glanced at me and we made slight eye contact. I looked away. Your opinions on this?

I wouldn't think too much about it or put too much weight on what happened. Maybe he was just having a bad day that day. I'm sure you can relate. I know that I can. I don't mean to do it on purpose but I'm sure plenty of times before I've come off cold or cranky to someone because I was having a bad day. That sorta stuff happen to the best of us. If he continues to act like that towards you then maybe something did happen or he perceived something happened but otherwise don't overthink this.

Anything is possible & if he sits next to you every day maybe he sees a friend in you or maybe he sees something more. Time will tell as they say & you can always ask him or test him next time. Let him pick a seat next time & you sit somewhere else & if he follows you or keeps glancing at you & looks away that means he’s taking a liking to you. Ask him why he sits next to you everyday.
