When men say they are not ready for relationship, does that means he really doesn't or it's just an excuse?

I have seen a lot of people says that if someone tell you that it's mean they just wanna let us down easy. But I think there must be an exception in some case it's doesn't mean that way all the time. But I'm still not sure so I wanna get an answer from a guy is that true that's it is just an excuse?

Men usually mean exactly what they say. If he tells you he isn't ready for a relationship, it's safe to assume he isn't ready for a relationship. There is a slight chance he isn't being truthful, but regardless he isn't interested in a relationship with you so you should just move on.

It can be either , plus 2 reason , he is not attracted but dont want to offend people , or he is just didn't like to be commited to others.
