Do guys typically kiss with eyes open sometimes?

And no I’m not talking eyes wide open lol. But when I make out with this dude I’ve been seeing. I would sometimes catch him looking into my eyes while making out. And we both would be faded, so his eyes would be very low but I would see his eyes slightly open looking at me time to time. I personally look at him occasionally while kissing cause I like how handsome he looks. We would sometimes would even open our eyes at the same time to look at each other for a few seconds and close them after. But what might be the reason a guy would look at you while kissing?

P. S: when we kiss my head is slightly lower than his so it’s not blurry to look at him. If that’s a good explanation lol.

I'd never kiss eyes wide open, but I very often do what you’ve described him doing. It’s a bit weird making eye contact mid pash, but I find eyes one of the most attractive non-sexual parts of a girl's body so when we pause for a second and make eye contact before continuing I find it hot asf!!
