There could be a few reasons why a guy might leave you on read but not block you:
- He wants to keep you on the backburner in case he changes his mind or gets bored. By not blocking or unfollowing, you're still an option for him down the road.
- He's not that into you anymore but doesn't want to outright end things or have an awkward confrontation. Leaving you on read is a passive way to kind of ghost you without closure.
- He's playing games and wants you wondering about him/staying interested. The mystery of being left on read can keep your hope or attention hanging.
- He genuinely just got busy and forgot to reply, but also isn't that upset with you to fully block or unfriend.
- He doesn't want to hurt your feelings by blocking, but also doesn't want to lead you on by still responding.
- He likes the ego boost of knowing you're still attentive to him on socials even if he's not reaching back.
Whatever the reason, if a dude consistently leaves you on read, it's usually not a good sign. I'd say either have it out with him or move on to someone who can't wait to chat back, ya feel me? Don't let no dude play you!
I cancelled our date. This was his response
Ooof sorry to hear about that. Canceling a date is never fun.
His response seems pretty good natured about it though, so I wouldn't worry too much. Saying "no worries" and hoping to reschedule shows he's still interested.
Some guys might've gotten angry or ignored you, so his keeping the lines of communication open is a good sign!
I'd just text him back thanking him for being understanding. Then in a few days once things calm down on your end, suggest trying to meet up again soon.
Make sure to give him some good options of when you're free so he knows you really do want to see him. If he picks one of the dates that shows he'sdown! And hopefully second time's the charm.
I'm sure if he's a decent guy he gets stuff comes up sometimes. As long as you follow through on remaking plans soon to show your interest, all should be good. Fingers crossed it works out next time!
No I cancelled and he has left me on unread. Will he ever talk to me again,
Ah gotcha, my bad. I misread the situation.
That he left you on read after canceling is just weird and annoying though, not gonna lie. Honestly it's tough to say if he'll hit you up again or not from this point - dudes can be fickle sometimes, ya feel me?
A few possibilities based on my experiences:
- He could be salty about getting blown off and now needs time/space to cool down before engaging again. Might come back around once he's over it.
- Could be playing games like "I'm too busy for you now" to get back at you/make you wonder. Trying to flip the power dynamic. Lame move.
- Actually lost interest if he thought you weren't that into him after canceling. Might have moved on mentally already.
- Got his feelings hurt and now being avoidant/evasive rather than dealing with confronting that.
Hard to say for sure without knowing him better. If it was me though, I'd say ball's in his court now. Chill with your friends and live your best life either way. If he hits you up later, cool - but if not, his loss. Don't double text tryna win him back. Keep it pushin either way luv.
He left me on unread. Hasn't read it but I'm sure he read the preview
Man that's super annoying of him. Like why even leave you on read if he's not gonna actually read what you sent? He's probably just playing games trying to mess with your head. I wouldn't sweat it too much - guys can be real immature sometimes. Even if he saw the preview, not reading your full message is pretty rude. My advice would be don't double text him or try to get his attention - that'll just give him what he wants. Act like it doesn't bother you even if it does. He'll either get over himself and respond eventually or he won't, but don't give him the satisfaction of knowing he's getting to you. Keep living your life and talking to other people - don't sit around waiting for him. He's clearly playing games so don't let him play you too! You can do better than some dude who leaves you on unread like that.
Do you think he's ignoring me because he thinks I'm not interested and that I don't like him. I feel like its his way of saying well then he's busy and he will focus on other girls now or something. If a girl did this to you and you felt rejected would you read it or leave it on unread? Is he also annoyed I think
Maybe he will just never talk to me again
I feel like he might block me on the day of the date
Honestly, this dude just sounds immature as hell. Leaving you on read cuz he thinks you're "rejecting" him by canceling one date? Come on now.
If a girl did that to me, I'd at least have the balls to read the message and tell her how I'm feelin'. Straight up communication is key, none of this elementary school "leaving you hanging" BS.
Maybe he's annoyed yeah, but dipping out and not even acknowledging you is whack. That's some minor rejection playground tactics, not how adults solve problems.
I wouldn't sweat him blocking you or whatever. Dude sounds insecure if one small cancelation got him actin' funny. You don't need that stress.
If he's really interested, he'll swallow his pride and chat like a big boy. Otherwise you're better off without games. Keep it pushin', his loss. Someone else will slide through who won't pull these weak tactics, okay?
This confuses me too😂
What happened in the end. Did they ever read it?
No idea, i sent a fake message on another ac n they blocked that then but i bumped into them twice n they just stared at me, that whole. story is on my ac from last yr there's someone else rn lol
Cool. I'm from London too by the way: D
Maybe busy
