I like this guy, and was thinking to ask him out, I am confused?

I liked this guy since three years, gave him a necklace he wore it occasionally. apparently he threw away a valentines card I gave him three years ago. But... Last year things been a little fishy: 1. He looks at me steal glances 2. Sits close to me in a lot classes 3. He acts weird when I talk to him 4. I just sense some kinda connection honestly Some people are saying I am delusional, plus apparently, my friend overheard some mean girl group saying things like I am being delusional because well he is popular and I am not. I kinda feel hurt when I hear. And again a friend overheard a conversation where those girls asked my crush that I think he likes me. and he said he didn't care to them. And I am so confused because the signs are so obvious and it's really weird. What should I do, some of his friends are saying they are jealous because my crush is kinda the cool loved guy from rom-com movies. What do you guys think?

Well there is nothing wrong with asking him to do something if you feel he has an interest in you. I see you are younger so maybe ask him to study? That can be an easy first step. Don't listen to other people or you will drive yourself nuts. They are speculating how this guy feels as much as you are. Unless he told them specifically he likes/doesn't like you then take what they say with a grain of salt. He also might be embarrassed to let his true feelings for you public and to people you aren't friends with (mean girl group).

You are way over thinking the situation. Go talk to him and ask him if he wants to go on a date. 3 years without taking action is awfully silly.
