Guys, does a girl lightly touching you on the arm, shoulder etc increase your attraction/interest in her?

I know that I like it when my crush does it, but does it equally raise guys' attraction to a girl they hadn't considered in that way before if she starts touching him? Like what goes on in your mind when women touch you in a friendly way?

Depending on the woman.

If I find her attractive, it ill increase the attraction/interest.
If not, and she continues to do this for a longer period, little-by-little somehow I will start enjoying her company more, to the point of starting to get an attraction/interest.

One night, we were playing this shitty dive and I was in the "audience" (the area where there SHOULD'VE been an audience but, I doubt there were more than 2 or 3 people because the owner was either charging way too much to get in or just refusing to LET most people in, even if they could afford his inflated price) and there was this girl that came, who was a friend of the band. She was chubby, had a voice that could peel paint, smoked clove cigarettes, wasn't very pretty and wore outlandish make-up! Everyone made fun of her and called her, ugly. She was sitting beside me as I was tying my shoes before going on and she put her hand above my knee and gently stroked my leg and said this reminds her of a Neil Young song, "Cinnamon Girl". And she sang a line from the song, "The drummer relaxes and waits between shows for his cinnamon girl". Up to that moment, I had no interest in her but, from then on, I was at least infatuated with her! A couple weeks later, I discovered she's already GOT a boyfriend!

there could be many different reasons as to why something like that happens, there is always a context, a setting and a background... and all that has to be considered first

if I am already interested or attracted to someone, this kind of "closeness" might be a factor going forward... but I am not interested nor attracted, this kind of stuff will not change the situation

if a "light touch on my arm" were enough to make me interested on a girl.. I'd be in big trouble all the time, lol
