  He texts me but not his parents, why would he do that if he doesn't care? (He's in the military and doesn't have much time so I don't get why would he bother answering me? He's been acting like he's interested
  in me for a while prior to him getting with his girlfriend (she's his ex who cheated multipule times in the past)

  Even if someone went through aomthing simpler the reason could be complety differnt such as having u as a backup option hiding u from a partner thinking they can get sex from u thinking they can scam u the reasons could be anything
